    • Lansdowne Chapel, a warm caring fellowship eager to learn more about God

      Helen Singh

    • Lansdowne Chapel is like a special home to me. They give you a nice welcome and they have a good laugh.

      Esther Lumala

    • I grew up with Christianity in my heart. Sometimes when I'm sad I pray to God and everything is sorted. Why? Because I believe in God, and He believes in me.

      Manuel Gaspar

    • Coming here gives me confidence and gives me strength in life.

    Prayer Meeting

Prayer is an important part of our church life.

So we meet every Saturday morning to pray for the church, our community and the wider world.

Meeting on the 2nd and 4th Thursday afternoon each month at 2pm for an hour or so, this group is for people who prefer a daytime group.  The fellowship meets to learn together from the Bible, to pray for each other and to care for each other.  New members are always very welcome; if you’d like to join, please ask someone for details on a Sunday morning or contact us and we’ll put you in touch.

Starting with snacks, cakes and drinks, we spend time catching up on what is happening in our lives.  Then we continue to spend time enjoying God’s presence amongst us, whether worshipping, studying themes from the Bible or praying for each other.  It’s a relaxed and friendly group and is always happy to welcome new people.

The group meets on  the 2nd and 4th Sunday afternoons each month, running from 5:30 – 7pm.  The programme and the venues vary so if you’d like to come along, either ask someone on a Sunday morning or contact us and we’ll be happy to link you up with the group.

Our weekly main meeting starts at 10:30am and starts with family worship.  Then the adults listen to a speaker talking from a passage or theme in the Bible, applying the truths of the Bible to our lives in a relevant way.   At the same time, there are also groups for our children.  These run during the second half of the meeting and give them opportunity to learn about God for themselves in a fun and relevant way.

We all finish around 11:45 with drinks and chance to get to know people and an opportunity for prayer if you would like it.
